BayWa r.e. further strengthens its business in the Asia-Pacific region by signing a VAP agreement with solar inverter manufacturer Huawei for its solar distribution business in Thailand and South-East Asia.
Huawei, who is one of the leading players in digitization of both PV plants and renewable energy enterprises, is an important supplier for BayWa r.e. and will help ensure customers benefit from the latest industry-leading technology and upgrades.
Now BayWa r.e.’s solar distribution arm will extend their relationship as the Asia-Pacific business becomes the first part of BayWa r.e. to secure the highest possible distribution agreement for Huawei’s highly rated inverters.
Daniel Gäfke, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Solar Pte Ltd, said: “We are delighted to reach VAP status with Huawei. Thailand and the wider South-East Asia region are major growth markets for BayWa r.e., having taken a considerable market share since launching the distribution business here just 18 months ago, and this move helps to further strengthen our market position.
“We’re also adding new experts to our team to continue to expand and improve our service offering to customers, which will include the very best technical support, high stock levels and the most competitie prices.”
BayWa r.e. will benefit from the best possible prices for Huawei’s top-of-the-range solar equipment and will pass on great value, along with first class service and delivery times, to its customers across Thailand and South-East Asia.
Bruce Li, General Manager of Huawei solar business Asia-Pacific, said, “We’ve worked closely with BayWa r.e. on a global scale for some time, and seen the company successfully grow its now significant market share in the region since launching its distribution business here just 18 months ago. We know BayWa r.e. is a strong business with exceptional levels of organisation and service – an ideal VAP partner for distribution of our inverters – and we’re very happy to have this agreement in place.”
